At present, there is influence of western wind and local wind in the country, according to the Weather Forecast Division. Also, there is a partial effect of water vapor air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

According to the division, at present the weather is mostly clear to partly cloudy in the mountainous areas of the country including the western part of Madhesh province, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Light to moderate rain with lightning is occurring at a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the remaining provinces.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy to partly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with lightning at a few places in the hilly areas of the rest of the provinces including Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini and at one or two places in the remaining areas. There is a possibility of snowfall with light rain in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.
