It is said that Nepal government is preparing to send elephants to Qatar government soon. For this, the Ministry of Forestry and Environment has informed that Nepal will write to the Embassy within the month of May regarding elephants. Nepal is going to send an elephant as a gift to Qatar.
Nepal informed about this during the meeting held on Saturday (May 3) between Forest Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri and Special Envoy for Climate Change and Sustainable Management of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Minister Badr Umar Al Dafa.
A meeting was held between Forest Minister Shahi and Qatar's Special Envoy Al Dafa on the occasion of the first edition of 'Sagarmatha Dialogue 2025' organized by Nepal. In the meeting, Minister Shahi said that Nepal is facing a long-term challenge in pollution control. In addition, he also said that Nepal is willing to cooperate with Qatar on issues such as climate change, forestry and environmental technology.
Sagarmatha dialogue which started on May 2nd is ending on 3rd . Nepal is having a comprehensive discussion on 'climate change, mountain and forest future'. Where the ministerial representatives of 12 countries and representatives of about 40 countries have participated.
