Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has asked Qatar's Special Envoy on Climate Change and Sustainability for the situation of Vipin Joshi and for more initiatives for his return to the country.
Minister Rana made this request during a meeting with Badr Umar Ismail Al Dafa, the special envoy of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who came to Kathmandu to participate in the Everest Dialogue.
During the courtesy meeting with Foreign Minister Rana, there was a discussion about the situation of Vipin Joshi, a Nepali youth who was abducted by Hamas. Minister Rana expressed her gratitude for the efforts made by Qatar for the release of Vipin Joshi and his return to Nepal, and again requested to continue the initiative in this matter and to take more initiatives for Joshi's release.
Minister Rana has repeatedly requested the foreign minister of Qatar and the chief mediator of Hamas's peace talks with Israel to take the necessary steps for Vipin's release.
Also, during the meeting on Friday, Minister Rana expressed her gratitude for Qatar's participation in the Everest Dialogue and talked about the cooperation that can be done to reduce the impact of climate change in the future.
