A delegation led by the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Congress, Xiao Chi, who is visiting Nepal today, had a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

In the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, the Chinese team wished for the success of the Everest Dialogue to be held in Kathmandu from May 2 and said that China is ready to further enhance the long and friendly relations between the two countries. 

He conveyed the best wishes of the Chinese leadership for the development and prosperity of Nepal and recalled that the official visit to China by Prime Minister Oli last December was a success. 

Prime Minister Oli mentioned that Nepal and China have had friendly, problem-free and cordial relations for a long time and said that he is happy with China's rapid development in the fields of development and technology and its global influence. 

Prime Minister Oli recalled the recent visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal and mentioned that the visit was multifaceted and historic. He reiterated that Nepal is fully committed to the One China policy and emphasized that priority should be taken from all sides for the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the two countries.  On the occasion of the

meeting, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chan Song and Nepalese Ambassador to China Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, high officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated.
