The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has clarified that the overseas study permit (NOC) to study in South Korea is not completely closed.

The ministry issued a statement on Wednesday and said that foreign NOCs will be provided for postgraduate studies as per the regulations. Similarly, it is mentioned in the release that NOC will be provided to all types of applicants who have applied till May 27th.

The Ministry said on Tuesday that the distribution of NOC has been postponed saying that there is a need to regulate the students going to study in South Korea. For the time being, the NOC has been suspended for students pursuing graduate studies on 'D Two' and 'D Four' visas.

According to the ministry, there is a problem that the students who go to study in these courses give more priority to employment and do not continue their studies.

"There is a problem of not continuing the study by enrolling in universities with less study time to earn money," the statement of the ministry states, "those who are unable to find work are suffering from mental problems and depression, the problem has also arisen because students are enrolled in universities that are blacklisted by the Korean government."
