The vehicles stranded due to the broken bridge at Chormara between the Kawasoti Dumkibas section under the East-West Mahendra Highway have been diverted through an alternative road.

According to District Police Superintendent Yadav Dhakal, the vehicle has been driven across from Chormara market. From Chormara Bazar, near Navjagaran Campus in the south, vehicles have been diverted through an alternative road going east-west. He informed that small and passenger vehicles are being operated on priority.

After the dilapidated steel bridge built in 2031 collapsed on Monday night around 10 o'clock, traffic has been stopped there. The highway was blocked due to the collapse of the steel bridge 42 km west of Narayangadh.
