President Ramchandra Paudel First Lady Sabita Paudel has worshiped Lord Gautama Buddha at Guru Lhakhang Monastery in Boudhanath on the occasion of the 25th and 69th Buddha Jayanti.
On this occasion, President Paudel circumambulated the Buddha Mahachaitya and visited the precious Astudhatu. On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, President Paudel along with First Lady Savita Paudel went to Buddha for Astudhatu darshan with worship.
On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, there has been a crowd of devotees visiting Astudhatu in the Buddhist area since early morning. On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti today, rare relics of Kashyapa Buddha and Swayambhu Mahachaitya along with precious relics of Buddha were shown at Boudhanath.
Sri Boudhanath and Melamchi Ghyang Guthi have made arrangements to have the rare relics of Kashyap Buddha and Swayambhu Mahachaitya along with precious relics of Buddha .
On this occasion, preparations have been made for a procession with the ancient statue of Lord Buddha along with Astu Darshan. Chinese Lama Bhupatibajr Lama informed that the world peace and human welfare journey will be started from today with the original slogan of 'My birth for others'.
It is believed that this journey with the relics of Lord Buddha will convey the message of Buddha's infinite knowledge, wisdom and compassion to the whole world . It will make Nepal known all over the world .
