Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli mentioned that the policies and programs are not old and the same and said that all projects in the infrastructure sector have been reprioritized.
Answering the questions raised during the discussion on the government's policies and programs in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, he reiterated that we cannot move forward without changing the pattern of development-construction, slow pace and 'work in progress' culture, and said that we should be clear about where to invest the limited resources we have and what results to achieve.
'Therefore, the proposal to change the pattern, pace and culture of development in order to improve the deficiencies that have appeared during development is new in the presented policies and programs. The commitment to implement it in practice is also new. Projects that have been started should not be stopped', the Prime Minister said. He said that the new policy is to review the projects of national pride under the declared policy that can be completed, to complete the current project in the financial year 2082/83 and to complete it within this period of the House of Representatives. Prime Minister Oli said that when creating a new project of infrastructure development, the interests of concerned bodies such as accounting of 'possibility, risk and return' and the assurance and commitment of capital must be developed before a 'business plan' that includes the interests of investors and lenders, including 'cash flow, risk reduction and legal protection', is a new policy.
Prime Minister Oli informed that a policy has been proposed to focus on the development of entrepreneurship, production, productivity and job creation in programs run by government agencies and to commercialize agriculture and build infrastructure through cooperation, coordination and collaboration between the three levels of government.
Prime Minister Oli said that the policy of preparing a new roadmap for the National Educational Reform Program and making education accessible, quality and useful for life has been put forward. In addition, the Prime Minister said that the policy of joining all public hospitals to the integrated online service, joining all health-related aid and concession programs to the integrated health insurance system will make the health insurance program sustainable.
