The ruling Nepali Congress has made it clear that it is against any form of terrorism. Speaking after the meeting of the party officials and ex-officers held at the residence of party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday, party spokesperson Dr. Prakasharan Mahat said that Congress is against terrorism.

He informed that the party has condemned the attack on unarmed civilians in relation to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. According to him, the Congress considers the action against terrorism justified. He also said that the Congress is in favor of establishing peace between Pakistan and India soon.

'The conflict between India and Pakistan has escalated, before the terrorist attack in India's Pahalgam targeted unarmed civilians. The Nepali Congress has strongly condemned it. Even in the recent situation, Congress has always been against terrorism," said spokesperson Mahat.

According to him, the action taken against terrorism is considered justified by the Congress. He clarified that the Congress is on the side that no one should support terrorism.

He said, "After the terrorist attack, there has been an attack on civilians from Pakistan as well." Military bases have also been attacked. We want peace to be restored soon, not to turn into a full-blown war.'
