As this year's climbing season begins, seven Sherpas have reached the summit of Mount Everest today. Leeladhar Awasthi, director of tourism department, informed that they reached the peak at 5:00 pm while fixing the rope for this year's climb.
According to the department, the Sherpas working under 'AT K Expedition' have completed the rope hanging work. The team led by Ashok Lama consists of Chiring Pemba Sherpa, Pem Nurbu Sherpa, Tasi Sherpa, Karma Galzen Sherpa, Tasi Galzen Sherpa and Pastenji Sherpa.
With the completion of the rope hanging work on the peak of Everest, this year's Everest climbing has officially started. Now other climbers will also go towards the peak after looking at the weather conditions", Director Awasthi said.
