Royalist group's announcement: Indefinite movement from May 15

The royalist group has announced that they will hold an indefinite protest for the restoration of the monarchy from this 15th of June. During a program in Kathmandu on Thursday, Navraj Subedi, the coordinator of the Joint People's Movement Committee, which was formed for the restoration of the monarchy, announced that an indefinite public movement will be held from June 15th to create strong public pressure.

It is also said that the coordination of the movement will be done through the Subedi-led committee. Coordinator Subedi said that the movement will be peaceful. He also said that the form of the movement will be civil disobedience and satyagraha. He said, 'Our movement is not against any party or government. The main goal of the movement will be to make the people feel that they are the owners of the country by putting an end to absolutism and totalitarianism and strengthening the sovereignty inherent in the people and the determination of the people.'

Similarly, the committee has demanded the release of Rabindra Mishra, the senior vice president of RPP, who was arrested during the Tinkune demonstration on March 15th. 

The Joint People's Movement Committee was formed for the restoration of the royal institution under the leadership of the former president of Rashtriya Panchayat, Navraj Subedi, on March 4, led by businessman Durga Prasain. Subedi also announced Prasai as the commander of the Jan Andolan Committee.

On Friday, the Royalists' demonstration turned violent after Prasai started a riot. During the demonstration, 2 people died including a journalist. Besides, dozens of vehicles were set on fire and personal and government properties were also set on fire.
