Sobita Gautam, MP of Rashtriya Swatantra Party, has questioned the place where the government's policies and programs will be addressed.
Speaking in the House of Representatives on Monday about the government's policy and program for the next financial year, Gautam said that the question arose whether what the MP said would be in vain. Pointing out that there is a short time between the time to present the policy and program to Parliament and the time to prepare the budget, MP Gautam said that the question will be raised as to where the discussion in Parliament will be addressed.
'At least 3 months before the presentation of the budget, it was necessary to continue the practice of submitting policies and programs and discussing them, which was done earlier,' she said . Stating that the projects recommended by the Ministry of Finance from other ministries and coming from various pressures have been included in the budgeting system, she questioned where the ongoing discussions in the Parliament will be addressed. She said that the discussion going on in the parliament will waste the time of parliamentarians and other agencies.
MP Gautam's question was where the amendment proposals registered by MPs will be placed in the policy and program. MP Gautam also said that the details of how many of the policies and programs decided by the government in the previous fiscal year have been completed and how many are left. As far as possible, have the policies and programs set by the government last year been completed? I also request you to inform me . I would also like to suggest that a new policy and program should be presented from the next year along with the progress of the policy and program of the previous financial year,' she said.
MP Gautam said in policy and program She informed that the Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project has been restructured and it will be continued as a national integrated agriculture modernization program. She said that 'a legal arrangement will be made to run the integrated agricultural program nationwide' should be added. She also informed that there is an amendment proposal to establish a 'national construction-oriented material management company' in a private-public model to manage river resources.
MP Gautam said that the country's natural resources should be utilized to build national pride schemes and other big projects. "For that, to prevent the natural disasters caused by the operation of crushers by leaders and their over-excavation and the damage suffered by the people as a result, it should be added that a 'national construction-oriented material management company' will be established in a private-public model to manage the river resources," he proposed.
There is a proposal by MP Gautam to include the topic of preparing a 20-year 'Integrated Tourism Infrastructure Master Plan' in the policy and program for the development of infrastructure related to tourism. "Those who identify the tourist areas, routes and destinations should come up with a plan to increase investment in environment-friendly, accessible, inclusive and climate-resistant infrastructure," she said.
MP Gautam expressed her happiness that the topic of connecting students with part-time jobs came up in the policy and program. Stating that she has been raising the issue since the past, she said that the policy should be improved. 'It is my humble request that part-time jobs should not be limited to 20 hours a week . Students can work at least 4 hours a day . This should be implemented without specifying the number of hours and there should be an arrangement to pay the wages for the work on an hourly basis every week,' she said .
