Mahanth Thakur, president of the Democratic Socialist Party, has protested saying that they are always being treated unfairly because they belong to Madhesh.

Speaking during the emergency session of the House of Representatives on Monday, he said that the leader of Civil Liberties Party, Resham Chaudhary, was arrested for no reason on the basis of a fake letter and kept in jail for 5 hours. He accused the government of keeping silent despite knowing who is guilty in the incident.

'The suffering we are suffering, whether we are Tharu or Madhesi tribe, why do we get injustice continuously? They are arrested and taken away in the style of kidnapping and kept locked up. There is no reason. Nothing. Why was a person arrested on the basis of a wrong letter and kept in jail for 5 hours? Why is this happening to us?'

He said that the state is presenting itself as a winner, and the winner himself is sitting on a chair to distinguish between justice and injustice. 'The state does not listen to us. There is no reason, but injustice continues to be done to us,' he said.
