Ruling Congress MP Shekhar Koirala has said that during the formation of the government led by UML President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the two parties could not proceed according to the seven-point agreement.
MP Koirala on Monday at the Federal Parliament building complex, and the seven-point agreement between Congress and UML during the formation of the government. He has expressed his displeasure saying that it has not been implemented. He said that the government failed to review the constitution, economic reforms, control corruption and maintain good governance in the country.
'This government has been formed in the seven-point agreement. The government has failed to revise the constitution on seven points, to improve the economy, to eradicate corruption, to end impunity and to provide good governance,' he said, 'to revise the constitution is not to make it so that Congress and UML have two-thirds. All the parties in the parliament should be represented and stakeholders should be involved. Revising the constitution is a matter of time. But it has been 9 months and I wish I had started.' MP Koirala said that there is no problem within the Congress regarding the
government. He said that even though the current government has no chance of failure, it is wrong to create a mechanism between the parties that are together up to the municipality level.
