On the southern section of the Butwal-Narayangadh road on Saturday night, traffic was stopped for 12 hours due to heavy rain. The vehicles stopped at Dumkibas on the east side and Bardghat on the west side at 11 o'clock in the night were able to run only at 11 o'clock in the morning on Sunday.

Traffic is being stopped from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am in the lower section and road expansion is being done. The road, which was supposed to be opened at 5 am, was operational only after the mud dried up on Sunday. The highway was slippery due to rain from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am.

DSP Madhu Nepal of District Police East Nawalparasi informed that by pushing the big vehicles stuck in the mud on the road with a dozer, traffic has been made easier.

Tulsi Giri, who had walked from Kathmandu to Dang, said that he was frustrated when he had to sit in the traffic jam for a long time at Dumkibas. "Sometimes the vehicle was stopped due to landslides and sometimes due to road expansion," he said. Reminiscence Poudel of Rupandehi Sainamaina also fell into a long traffic jam while returning home from Kathmandu. "It has been 6 years since I suffered from jam, dust and mud," she said, "Dust in winter, mud in rain. This year, the rain has not started and this is the situation. What will happen a little later?'

Dhaniram Guruu, a tourism businessman who was going to Kawasoti from Dang, said that the police stopped him at Bardghat for the night as it was going to rain. They expected to walk to their destination at 5 am on Sunday, but they were stuck in traffic since morning. They were stuck in a traffic jam for more than 9 hours when the vehicle started to slide due to mud.

Passengers complain that the contractor company China State Corporation and the road department have not paid attention to solve the long-standing traffic problem in Daunne. They say that when the vehicle slips, they have to push it with a dozer, but they have to suffer hours of traffic jams because the road is not cleaned and gravel and sand are not added.

Devendra Dahal, the Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, who went to monitor the road on 5 Baisakh, was stuck in a traffic jam for more than four hours. At that time, he instructed to repair the road immediately and remove the dust and mud, but it was not implemented.

The road department and the contractor company have been saying that because the hill cutting work is going on in Daunne, it becomes muddy when it rains. Shiv Khanal, Information Officer of Butwal-Narayangadh Road Project East Section, said that the construction of culverts and bridges is also going on, so there is a problem in traffic operation on the narrow road. "Right now, work is going on at Downne.

Work is being done to make the slope a few kilometers before the monsoon,' he said, 'even after removing the dust and mud, the same problem has recurred in a few days. We are asking the contractor to solve the problem. The 114 km long road expansion work started in Chait 2075. The progress of work so far is only 64 percent. The third extension is due to expire on July 8.
