Flights in the country have been affected due to adverse weather conditions. The Airport Office has informed that the flights of various airports of the country, including the Tribhuvan International Airport, have been affected due to poor visibility due to continuous rain.

According to airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa, domestic and international flights have been affected due to bad weather and low visibility. He informed that due to 'in-route weather' in the morning, Jazeer Air's flight was diverted to Banaras, India, and Buddha Air's mountain flight was diverted.

Three planes of Summit and Tara Air flying from Ramechhap to Lukla have been diverted due to bad weather in Lukla. Spokesman Sherpa informed that after the rain stopped, flights are being operated normally from the regional airports outside Kathmandu including the Kathmandu airport. He said that some flights have been blocked at airports in remote areas, while Nepal Airlines Corporation's Kathmandu-Thamkhark destination flight has also been diverted.

There was light rain in Kathmandu Valley since early this morning. At present, the weather in the area around Kathmandu is generally clear, according to the Weather Forecast Division. It is mentioned in the weather "bulletin" issued by the division that there is currently light rain in some hilly parts of the country including Kathmandu due to the influence of western winds and local winds in the country.

The water vapor air coming in from the Bay of Bengal also had a partial effect, which caused the rain, according to the department. Today afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and storm at some places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi, Lumbini and other parts of the country, the division said. There is also a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some parts of the Himalayan and hilly areas of the country.
