Amresh Kumar Singh, a member of the committee, has alleged that the Public Accounts Committee under the House of Representatives is facilitating corruption. In Sunday's meeting of the Accounts Committee, MP Singh said that the committee is facilitating the government's corruption.

After distributing the report of Pokhara International Airport study and monitoring sub-committee to MPs, MP Singh said that the audit committee has not completed its work and has become a shadow of the government.

The chairman of the audit committee is Rishikesh Pokharel of UML, which is leading the government. Questions are being raised that the committee has not investigated corruption and irregularities as should be done by the audit committee. In this regard, committee member Singh also said that corruption has been facilitated by the audit committee. Singh said that the work of reducing the effectiveness of the audit committee was done by the leadership and members. He said that an initial investigation was conducted on Nepal Electricity Authority's dedicated and trunk line, increase in the price of cement and steel, but corruption was tolerated without reaching a conclusion. "The audit committee was formed for the purpose of controlling and misusing the state funds and spending them." The Audit Committee has been formed to ensure that the state budget is properly spent,' he said, 'The Public Accounts Committee is facilitating corruption . If corruption has not been facilitated anywhere, then it has happened.'

MP Singh demanded to call the chairman of the committee Pokharel to the meeting regularly. He said that among the committees of the House of Representatives, the Public Accounts Committee held the fewest meetings.

MP Singh said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chief Secretary should be invited to discuss various issues of the country in the Public Accounts Committee and that was not done.
