Kathmandu. An agreement has been reached between the government and the protesting resident doctors. The Ministry of Health and Population and the Nepal Medical Association reached an agreement on four points on Saturday.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Bhim Prasad Sapkota on behalf of the Ministry and General Secretary Sanjiv Tiwari on behalf of the Association. With the agreement, the resident doctor's protest has returned.
According to the decision of the meeting of the Medical Education Commission on January 25th, it has been agreed that the ministry will form a working group and submit a report within 15 working days on issues such as leave, duty time, extra facilities, etc.
Similarly, according to the decision of the 18th meeting of the Medical Education Commission, it has been agreed that the Ministry will coordinate with the Ministry to arrange for all students to be 'matched' and enrolled in an integrated manner and that doctors will return to regular work. Health Minister Pradeep Paudel also participated in the discussion.
