Presentation of the Certificate of Credentials to the British King Charles by Ambassador Ghimire

The newly appointed Nepali Ambassador to the UK, Chandrakumar Ghimire, has submitted his certificate of appointment to King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in London. He also conveyed the greetings of Nepal's President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

It is mentioned in the press release issued by the embassy that Ambassador Ghimire presented his certificate of appointment during a formal program on Thursday and conveyed the greetings of the President and Prime Minister of Nepal.

Ambassador Ghimire said that President Paudel and Prime Minister Oli sent their best wishes for the King's personal well-being as well as the long-term prosperity of the British people. King Charles congratulated Ambassador Ghimire and said in a press release that Britain is committed to further strengthen bilateral relations with Nepal.

King Charles, recalling the 209 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations established in 1816, expressed his support for Nepal's development priority and progress. He also remembered his relationship with Nepal and the moments of his visit to Nepal.

Ambassador Ghimire expressed confidence that the two centuries of friendship between Nepal and the UK will be further strengthened and expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of the UK in the socio-economic development initiatives of Nepal. He also said that Nepal is committed to increase cooperation and coordination in areas of mutual interest. Ambassador's wife Sarita Neupane Ghimire, embassy diplomats and others were present at the

ceremony. In Khushiyali, the embassy is also organizing a reception ceremony at its premises in London on Friday.

Ambassador Ghimire's diplomatic tenure in the UK has officially begun with the presentation of the certificate of status. Ghimire is the 23rd Nepalese ambassador to Britain since the establishment of Nepal's mission in London in 1934.
