Bharatiya Janata Party's foreign affairs chief Vijay Chathaiwale returned on Friday after meeting 19 people including the prime minister and three former prime ministers on a three-day visit to Nepal. He met separately with the leadership and second level leaders of Congress, UML, Maoist, RASWP, LOSPA and Janmat Party in the Parliament.
He came down to Kathmandu on Wednesday and met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal.
Before leaving Kathmandu on Friday, he met UML Secretary General Shankar Pokharle, UML Leader Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel separately. Similarly, the Deputy General Secretary of Maoists Varshaman Pun and Rastriya Swatantra Party Acting President DP Aryal and Vice President Swarnim Wagle also met him before flying to Delhi.
Earlier, he met Congress leaders Shekhar Koirala, Gagan Thapa, Prakash Sharan Mahat, NP Saud and Uday Shamsher Rana, as well as Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and Foreign Minister Arju Deuba Rana. He also met Maoist leader Janardan Sharma separately.
He also met Democratic Samajwadi Party President Mahant Thakur and Janamat Party President CK Raut.
