President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Kham Bahadur Garbuja, a member of the House of Representatives from the Nepali Congress, as the Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
According to the office of the President, President Paudel appointed him to the post of Minister of State on Wednesday on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the existing Council of Ministers formed on 31 June last.
Earlier Purna Bahadur (Kancharam) Tamang, who was the Minister of State for Energy from the Congress, was dismissed by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on May 10. Tamang said that he was fired for making statements against Prime Minister Oli.
