CPN (UML) MP Surya Bahadur Thapa Chhetri has demanded an answer from Education, Science and Technology Minister Raghuji Pant regarding the Education Bill.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, he asked for the opinion of Education Minister Pant on the Education Bill. He said that the Minister of Education should inform the Parliament and the country that we are ready to finalize the Education Bill through this session.
He expressed grief over the incident that happened during the teachers' protest on Sunday and said that it is not appropriate to treat national servants like this.
He said, 'I would like to express my sorrow for the incident that happened yesterday in the teachers' movement, this should not have happened. Police are also national servants, teachers are also national servants. It is sad to treat national servants in the name of agitation or whatever. It is not appropriate to do this.'
He also asked the teachers to be restrained and carry forward the programs of the movement.
