Maoists accuse the government of suppressing the teachers' movement

The main opposition CPN (Maoist Centre) has condemned the government's suppression of the peaceful protesting of the teachers.

Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Janardan Sharma accused the government of oppressing the teachers instead of addressing their demands.

'Why is the government oppressing teachers instead of meeting their demands?' He has a question.

He mentioned that the implementation of the federal democratic republic has been hindered due to old laws and regulations. He accused the current government of not implementing the agreements made by the three governments and deceiving them when they should have addressed the demands of the teachers.

He said, 'The government suppressed the protest of the teachers who were protesting peacefully. Dozens of teachers were injured when water cannons were thrown at the protesting teachers and they are being treated in hospital today. Why is the government oppressing teachers instead of meeting their demands? I want to condemn it.

He said that education should be given a new direction by creating a new law along with the constitution. He said, 'A new Education Act should have been made keeping in mind the needs and times of today's country. Due to old laws and laws, there are obstacles in the implementation of the Federal Democratic Republic today. At a time like this, when the demands of the teachers should be addressed, the agreements made by the three governments are not being implemented, cheating is being done.'

He drew the attention of the government to immediately address the legitimate demands of the teachers.
