Corruption case against 9 including administrative officer and ward president of Dhankaul rural municipality

A corruption case has been filed against 9 including the administrative officer of Dhankaul rural municipality of Sarlahi and the chairman of ward no.

The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a case in a special court on Monday against administrative officer Krishna Mohan Prasad Sah, Engineer Upendra Prasad Sah, Naib Subba Mohammad Rafiq, Sub Engineer Shashiranjan Kumar Singh, Accountant Abhay Kumar Sah, Chairman of the Consumer Committee Wopendra Rai, Secretary Inerjit Sah Kanu and Treasurer Surtia Kumari, with a sum of 7 lakh 79 thousand 205 rupees.

It is mentioned in the indictment of the authority that the budget allocated in 2080/81 was embezzled during the construction of agricultural road located in Ward No.6 of the municipality. They have been made defendants on the charges of not working according to the technical estimate, showing more work on paper and submitting false information.

The authority has separately booked the accountant Sah, three members of the consumer committee and the administrative officer of the municipality and demanded imprisonment and fine.
