Oli, who breathed a sigh of relief after Deuba's statement at the airport on the way back from Bangkok, ”there will be no top-down in the coalition”, is confident that the government will not change after the talks with Deuba on Friday and Saturday.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in doubt as there is talk that power politics may be overturned, has been reassured after having a phone conversation with Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, who returned from Bangkok after receiving treatment on Friday, after he landed in Kathmandu.
Deuba, who went to Bangkok on May 7, returned on Friday after six days. He expressed that there is nothing above and below in the power alliance with the journalists at the airport.
A UML leader close to the Prime Minister says that Deuba repeated the same commitment in the phone conversation with Prime Minister Oli. Convinced by Deuba's assurance, Oli asserted that the government will not collapse at the UML parliamentary party meeting on Saturday and said, "Congress-UML alliance will not be broken under any circumstances."
Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is also the leader of the main opposition party, made a public statement that Deuba told him on the phone, "Let's meet when he comes back," before going to Bangkok. Regarding Dahal's expression and growing dissatisfaction within the Congress, especially with Prime Minister Oli's style of work, doubts arose within the UML and even in Prime Minister Oli himself.
In the UML parliamentary party meeting, Prime Minister Oli made it clear that unnecessary rumors were being spread about the government and that there was no problem in the alliance. "There is no need to say much about the current situation, until yesterday they were trying to light a fire, there were rumors that the government will fall when Sher Bahadur Deubaji comes back," said Oli, "As soon as Deubaji came down from the airport, rumors were spread that this government would fall." It was rumored that it fell, fell, fell. But nothing happened after Sher Bahadurji's arrival.
After the UML parliamentary party meeting on Saturday evening, Oli and Deuba had a discussion for a while alone and also among their allies. A minister who participated in the meeting said that the discussion was focused on making the two-party equation effective and especially on resolving the protest focused by the teachers in the capital. Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and Education Minister Raghuji Pant participated in the
discussion. "In the discussion between the two leaders, including the minister, the discussion focused on addressing the demands of teachers rather than other political issues," says a Baluwatar source.
Some Congress leaders are dissatisfied with the teachers' movement as well as another movement started by resident doctors and Prime Minister Oli's delay in appointing the governor. The Congress leader is also irritated by the dismissal of Purna Bahadur Tamang from the Minister of State for Energy for allegedly advocating for Kulman Ghising.
Congress central member NP Sawad says that Prime Minister Oli is under pressure because he could not maintain the balance of international power. "The Prime Minister is under pressure because of not being able to maintain a balance in international relations, rather than the confidence that the relationship within the Congress will break or remain," he says. He said that Deuba is also under pressure due to the growing dissatisfaction with the government among the party, parliament and activists.
UML leader Padam Giri claims that there is no indication that the alliance will collapse immediately. "The UML follows the agreement with the Congress with sincerity, so that there is no doubt about it, even the Prime Minister himself has come to say that after 15 months I will leave and make Sher Bahadur Deuba the Prime Minister," he says.
