The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has formally invited the Nepal Teachers' Federation for dialogue, stating that it is ready to find a solution through dialogue with the teachers. The ministry has said that it has drawn serious attention to the ongoing movement demanding that the Bill, 2080 to amend and unify the school education laws be passed soon.

Education Minister Raghuji Pant, in a press release issued on Friday, mentioned that the government is trying to create an environment for timely passage of the School Education Bill, which is in the process of discussion in the House of Representatives.

'Since the draft of the bill has been prepared through proper discussion and consultation with the teachers' representatives, it is natural that the interest and expectation of the school education bill will be released soon,' the statement said.

Education Minister Pant has made it clear that the government is ready to find a solution collectively by continuously communicating and discussing with the teachers as in the past. Also, according to the constitution and the legal process, the bill will be submitted to the parliament, the process of discussion and approval has been decided, he called on the Nepal Teachers' Federation National Committee to come to the talks on behalf of the government.

The teachers who have been protesting for 24 days have been called for talks by the government for the fourth time.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court issued an interim order in the name of the government to meet the demands of the teachers and create an environment for teaching and learning within three days.
