Maoist Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun has accused the government of not being able to do anything except protecting middlemen and taking revenge with the opposition parties for 10 months after its formation.

He made such allegations while speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday. According to him, the appointment in the regulatory bodies like Securities Board, Insurance Authority and interest groups to appoint their representative as the governor of Rashtra Bank is as bright as the sun.

He expressed his anger that the government is working in the interest of middlemen and that he is being accused of 'suddenly leaving the government'. He mentioned that not only the opposition, but also the common Nepali citizens are calling the current government a 'government of brokers, middlemen and interest groups'.

He said, "For 10 months, the government has done nothing but protect brokers and middlemen and take revenge on opposition parties and leaders." Appointments in regulatory bodies such as the Securities Board, Insurance Authority and interest groups to appoint their representatives as governors of the Rashtra Bank are as colorful as the sun. When we said that this government is working in the interests of the middlemen, it was said that it was a haste to leave the government. Today, it is not only us, it is being said in homes, on public platforms and everywhere that this government belongs to brokers, middlemen and interest groups.
