The Gulfagad Srinagar road section which was blocked by floods has been put into operation. The road that was destroyed due to the landslide with incessant rain on 4th Baisakh has been put into operation after repair.
The road section, which is in regular operation, was completely blocked for a week due to rain. It has come into operation after continuous maintenance by the rural municipality through excavators. Vinod Budha, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of the Rural Municipality said that the road has been operational since this morning after four days of repairs by the Rural Municipality.
Karnali Corridor is the only option to connect the center of the village after the blocking of the road section, the citizens using vehicles going to Gulfa Gad and other areas have become somewhat comfortable. According to businessman Navraj Mahtara, there is a shortage of daily necessities in the village after traffic was stopped for a week. The cargo truck has been stopped at Gulfagad for a week and has arrived at the center of the village only today .
Due to the closed roads, Nepalgunj, Surkhet and other urban areas had to go to the Karnali Corridor by walking for about two hours and take a bus.
