Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called upon the agitating teachers to return to school in talks as soon as possible, as the state will address the demands that can be met with the country's budget.
Inaugurating the 11th National Conference of Nepal Progressive Professors' Organization in Kirtipur today, Prime Minister Oli said that since the current government is democratic and not repressive, the legitimate demands of the professional sector will be addressed along with the protection of trade union rights.

Being aware of the regressive, extremism, distortions and discordant tendencies that are manifesting in the country, he has called for the formation of ideas for the defense of the existing federal democratic republic from his intellectual field.
'There is no such thing as a conscious class like a professor cannot differentiate between democracy and dictatorship . No conscious citizen can remain neutral about how to make his society.
