Criticism of government by Congress officials, defense by Deuba

Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba called a meeting of officials and ex-officers on Thursday, Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa and Vishwa Prakash Sharma criticized the government. They said that the government is acting capriciously without doing what it should do, and they said that the government should be supported only if it improves and moves forward.

As soon as the meeting started, General Minister Thapa expressed his views on why two big parties had to be equated and what are the priorities of the government's work. Another General Minister Sharma also agreed with Thapa's statement and opined that the government has to choose the option of staying with the status quo or accelerating.

If the government is not reformed, General Minister Sharma told Kantipur that he held the view that when the Congress and UML make an agreement, when the UML takes the leadership, the Congress will support it from outside and form a cabinet of only the UML, and when the Congress takes the leadership, the UML should also do the same.

General Minister Thapa expressed his displeasure by saying that the government did not show any desire to implement the ordinance, which was brought to increase the efficiency of the work according to the wishes of the citizens, even after it was passed by the parliament.

'We brought an ordinance day and night to respond to citizens' dissatisfaction through work. We also suffered the criticism of bringing the ordinance. But instead of implementing it, the government is delaying it," a Congress leader said, quoting Thapa's statement, "It was decided to form a task force to amend the constitution, but the task force has not been formed yet. The teachers have been on strike for more than two weeks. The government is not paying attention to address it. If you are concerned about where to appoint your people? Where to remove who? is in saying The government cannot run like this.'

General Minister Sharma's appointment of the governor, delay in promotion of AIG, not serious in addressing the teachers' movement, registering the social media bill in the National Assembly without consulting the power cooperation party, removing Kulman Ghising as the executive director of the electricity authority after three months and appointing Hitendradev Shakya, the authority bill that had been agreed in the sub-committee under the state order committee was put on 'hold' as a directive, the vice-chancellor of the university was forced to resign from the post. Allegations were made against the government.

The equation between the two big parties has been formed so that something good can be done. But nothing could be done even for 9 months after the formation of the government. The government has gone out of priority. He could not even keep the ability to increase capital expenditure. It was tried that by bringing the Ordinance, the economy can be made operational, efficiency in delivery can be increased. But even after the law has been made, it has remained the same," a leader said, quoting Sharma's words, "The governor should be appointed immediately, the demands of the teachers should be fulfilled immediately. An incident like that of Kulman was not repeated. The government had to change the speed." Another leader of the Congress said that this issue was resolved in a separate meeting between Prime Minister Oli and Deuba in Baluwatar on Wednesday evening. Even in six vacant posts of AIG, the government has already recommended for promotion on the basis of ranking on Thursday.

'AIG promotion is according to UML's stand. Now we believe that the appointment of the governor will be done according to the Congress," said the leader, "Chairman Deuba has also taken a stand that the Congress should get a governor and he has assured that the appointment will be made soon." "The chairman has already made it clear about who the Congress wants to make governor," said the leader, "probably the governor will be appointed in the cabinet meeting on Monday as stated by Deuba." Deuba has already informed Oli about going to Bangkok on May 7.

Deuba, who underwent stomach and eye treatment in Singapore, used to go to Singapore for 'follow-up' every two years. But this time he is going to Bangkok instead of going to Singapore even though he is said to be going for a 'follow-up' treatment. The leaders questioned about the doubt between the two parties saying that there could be a possible political meeting. A participant of the meeting said that Deuba replied that he was going for 'regular follow-up' for treatment.

While responding to the dissatisfaction of the general ministers, Deuba said that the party will go according to the agreement reached on June 7. Congress chief whip Shyam Ghimire quoted Deuba's statement and said, 'Whatever has been agreed on in the 7 points, should be implemented with sincerity. The government should speed up by correcting the weaknesses. Various views and language about the government have started coming from the leaders of the party. No matter what language is used, one should speak in favor of the government.'' In the

meeting, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar countered the statement that the government has not been able to do anything. "The government has not done a bad job even though it has not done very well and aha." There has been no scandal during this government. It may not be that it has been messed up, but nothing has been spoiled,' said the writer.
