Sumana Shrestha has resigned from the joint general minister of RSVP

Sumana Shrestha, joint general minister of the National Independent Party, has resigned from the post.

She submitted her resignation saying that one person should apply one position in the party. It is said that Shrestha's resignation from the Joint General Minister will be discussed in Thursday's meeting of the RSVP Central Committee.

Acting Spokesperson of RSVP Manish Jha informed that Joint General Minister Shrestha has resigned. According to the party, Shrestha has resigned saying that she will actively participate in the parliamentary front, but it has not been accepted.

Last time, Chairman Ravi Lamichhane said that the party will be restructured and asked the leaders to be ready for that. Since that time, Shrestha had been saying that she would resign from her position and be active in law making.

Shrestha submitted her resignation to the Chairman Lamichhane 15 days ago. However, no further action was taken regarding Shrestha's resignation after he was arrested by the order of the High Court in Lamichhane cooperative fraud.

Shrestha has told the party leaders about her resignation, 'Right after Raviji returned as the chairman, I had a talk with him about this and I also submitted my resignation letter. Raviji also put forward the idea that he would restructure the party and that was in line with my concept of leadership development, so I resigned from the post. Raviji also took it positively," said Shrestha, "I am confident that after this I will be able to carry out the responsibility of an MP more strongly."
