Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has made it clear that the inhumane and heinous crimes committed during the conflict cannot be forgiven when the transitional justice process is brought to its final conclusion.

Inaugurating the Sixth National Congress of Nepal Ex-Servicemen and Police Association today, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), said that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Investigation Commission of Disappeared Persons will carry out justice to the victims.

He said that there will be no delay in the process of formation of those commissions, as the country has been defeated and the country has entered into a democratic system, any act like killing, violence, activities that disturb religious harmony or anarchy will not be acceptable.

'Now we are in a federal democratic republic system. Here you can go and compete among the people. After winning the elections, the UML formed a single government and started an unprecedented work for development and prosperity. Now we are working as a joint government," said Prime Minister Oli. "We have a proud history of nation building and unity. We will hand over a prosperous and intact Nepal to the new generation. We will not allow border erosion and national pride. We will move forward while maintaining a civilized and cultured society.'

Prime Minister Oli mentioned the need for national unity with social harmony in a diverse country and emphasized that UML is leading it and the trust expressed by ex-military and police organizations towards the country and the party should be further strengthened.

President Oli has called on UML to hold a youth conference on the occasion of Democracy Day on May 11 to celebrate people's rights and development.
