The government has said that it is paying serious attention to the demands of the teachers. In the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday, there was a discussion regarding the demands of the teachers.
After the meeting, Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai informed that the government is sensitive, saying that the government is being discussed regarding addressing the demands raised by the Nepal Teachers' Federation.
'Nepal Teacher Federation's dialogue is ongoing and the government is sensitive and serious about addressing the demands raised by the Nepal Teachers' Federation. The government is ready to address reasonable demands," Minister Bhattarai said about the decision of the cabinet meeting. "The government has drawn serious attention to the demonstration on the call of the Nepal Teachers' Federation. At present, the time of student admission is the time of SEE answer book test and class 12 national exam as well, so all the teachers are requested to return to their respective workplaces keeping in mind the interests of the parents and students.
The teachers have been protesting in Kathmandu for two weeks demanding the release of the school education bill.
