Like the previous years, the year 2081 also came to be discussed due to political, economic and social and disaster events.
The two main political parties of the country joined together to form the government and the demonstration in support of the former king, the co-operative case, natural disasters and accidents with huge loss of life and ordinances, the arrest of the chairman of the National Independent Party, Ravi Lamichhane, and the dismissal of the executive director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, were discussed. Political events
- 17th Baisakh - Daman Bahadur Bhandari of CPN (UML) won in the by-elections held in Provincial Assembly 1 of Bajhang district.
- May 18th – Suhang Nemwang of CPN (UML) won in the by-election of Ilam Constituency No. 2.
- Baisakh 27th – CPN (UML) parliamentary party leader Hikmat Kumar Karki was appointed as the Chief Minister of Koshi Province for the third time.
- June 4th - Agreement between the three parties in power and the main opposition party to form a parliamentary inquiry committee regarding the financial embezzlement in the cooperative.
- 7th June - Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' received a vote of confidence for the fourth time from the House of Representatives.
- June 14th – Supreme Court's order to appoint Surendraraj Pandey of Nepali Congress as Chief Minister, making the vote of confidence of Gandaki Province Chief Minister Khagraj Adhikari unconstitutional.
- May 23 - Madhes Chief Minister Saroj Yadav failed to get a vote of confidence.
- May 25th - Satish Kumar Singh appointed as Chief Minister of Madhes Province.
- June 19th - CPN (UML), the largest party in the power coalition, withdrew its support to the government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
- June 20th – Madhav Kumar Nepal re-elected unanimously as the president of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist).

- 8th July – Bahadur Singh Lama (Tamang) of Nepali Congress was appointed as the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province.

- Baisakh 13th – Rautahat district court sentenced four people including former minister Aftaw Alam to life imprisonment.
- Baisakh 27- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) issued an arrest warrant against 20 people for misusing the land of the Nepal Children's Organization (Baalmandir) in Naxal, Kathmandu.
- June 2- Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the national cricket team, was acquitted by the Patan High Court in the rape case.
- October 2- Former Home Minister and National Independent Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane arrested.
- October 20th - Gandaki Provincial Assembly member Rajiv Gurung alias 'Deepak Manange' was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the Supreme Court in the industry case of murder.

- on January 13th - The tunnel of Siddhababa Surungmarg of national pride was broken in seven months.

- June 15th - The government announced the next fiscal year 2081-82 as the year of economic reform and presented a budget of Rs. 18 trillion 60 billion 300 million.

June 9th - record-breaking mountaineer Kamirita Sherpa on the summit of Mount Everest for the 30th time.
- June 19 to June 15 – Nepal participated in the ICC Men's T-20 Cricket World Cup held in the United States and the West Indies. Even though Nepal left the league stage, impressive performance.

On June 9th - A case was filed against the Chief Secretary Dr. Vaikunth Aryal in the special court of Kathmandu by the Authority Abuse Investigation Commission on charges of corruption. Liladevi Gadtaula, senior secretary, is the acting chief secretary.
