UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that the belief that some people are born superior and others are incompetent is a common practice and a thought against humanity. He has made it clear that such feudalism and anti-humanity thinking will not be established in the society.

Addressing the Third National Conference of the National Disability Organization, Nepal in Kathmandu on Saturday, General Secretary Pokharel said that there is no possibility of restoring the monarchy. He says that the demand for the restoration of the monarchy is a thought against humanity. 'Feudal system of birth superiority and thinking against humanity . The party that stands against that thinking is the UML . We will not allow that kind of wrong thinking to be established in the society under any circumstances,' he said. Who is the best person depends on the contribution that person makes in his life . No one can be superior by birth.' 

Pokharel said that he is ready to reform the current system in Nepal but will not allow the monarchy to be restored. "Democracy and republic are our way of life". If there is a deficiency in it, we will improve it and further enrich it,' he said.

Pokharel said that the activities being done in the name of royalism are trying to take the country to darkness. "What activities are being done now in the name of royalism is a futile attempt to bring the country to the dark age." We will not allow that attempt to succeed and we will protect the society from such misinformation,' he said.
