Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Sharatsingh Bhandari said that an independent high-level expert committee is going to be formed to decide the service fee to be charged to foreign workers.
Addressing the 31st general meeting of the Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Association on Friday, Labor Minister Bhandari said that the expert committee will make a recommendation to determine the service fee.
Foreign employment professionals have been demanding to be allowed to charge a service fee equal to one month's salary. In 2070, the government decided to charge 10,000 rupees for service charges.
Labor Minister Bhandari said that the service fee will be determined according to the recommendations of the independent expert committee.
He said that he will start the verification of the demand letter of Europe, which has stopped sending workers institutionally, within a month.
