The Government of Nepal has sent about 27 tons of relief material to the Government of Myanmar. A 16-member team, including high-ranking employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, journalists, left for that direction on Wednesday with the relief materials.

Tapas Adhikari, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Head of Southeast Asia Division, informed that the team is scheduled to hand over the relief materials to the representatives of the Myanmar government this morning. 27 tons of materials are going to be transferred on behalf of the private sector and the government.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in Myanmar last Friday. More than 3,000 people have died from this. The chief officer of the division said that the government has requested a list of materials needed by the earthquake-damaged Myanmar, and according to the list received, they are going to provide the necessary relief materials including food and medicine. 

Nepali army medical team has already gone there. The government requested a list of necessary materials for Myanmar, which was damaged by the earthquake. According to the list provided by Myanmar, there are food, medicines, medical teams and necessary relief materials are going to be provided. 

Earlier, the team of doctors of the Nepali Army has gone to Myanmar.
