There has been heavy snowfall in Samdo area located in Chumanubri Rural Municipality-1 of North Gorkha. Nima Lama, chairman of Chumanubri Rural Municipality informed that it has been snowing continuously since last night.

The life of the area has been affected due to the snowfall. He said that the snowfall in the last week of March has increased the cold. "Since last night, Samdo and surrounding areas have been covered by the snowfall from the roof to the ground, the snowfall has suddenly increased the cold in this area," he said. 

Samdogaon is at a height of about 3,877 meters above sea level. Due to the snowfall, the tourists who were going to Larkepass have stopped. It is difficult for the local people to go out of their houses. President Lama said that tourists are taking shelter in hotels due to snowfall. The Larkepass trail is completely covered with snow.
