Communication and Information Technology Minister Prithbisubba Gurung has said that due to the anti-federalism mentality of the leaders, questions have been raised about federalism.
In a program held in Laltipura on Thursday, Minister Gurung said that the political parties could not send their top leaders to the province because the province could not justify itself.
Minister Gurung informed that the problems of the provinces have increased and the question of federalism has started to be raised. He said that the National Coordination Council has also been formed to create an atmosphere of coordination and support between the three levels of government.
'You say that the leaders have an anti-federal mentality, it is a little bit like that . Now that I am the spokesperson of the government, the problems of the provinces have increased a lot, questions have been raised about federalism, and questions have been raised about the provincial government. In order to override the inter-provincial council, a legal arrangement has been made so that the district coordination committee, municipal association, rural municipality national federation can say. This too should not be seen in a negative way . The inter-provincial council will coordinate between the two governments. But to discuss the problems of all the three governments, it was done by the National Coordination Council. Because for the successful implementation of federalism, it is necessary to make laws and acts that smooth the relationship between governments.'
Minister Gurung also said that the financial federalism in Nepal is weak. He says that providing financial rights to the lower level is the need of the day to eliminate the inequality of development in the country.
