A corruption case has been filed against Prem Bahadur Rawal, chief store assistant of Herb Production and Processing Company Limited, for entering government service by submitting fake educational qualification certificates.

The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has filed a corruption case in the special court against Rawal, who is working as the chief store assistant of the Herb Production and Processing Company Limited branch office in Kailali.

Rawal had submitted the educational qualification certificate issued by the Council of Secondary Education of India, Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education while joining the service in Processing Company Limited . Based on the same educational certificate, he entered the service from the assistant level (gazetted fourth).

However, the authority filed a corruption case after it was confirmed that the educational documents submitted by Rawal were fake during the investigation.

In the indictment filed by the authority in the special court, it is said, "As it appears that he was promoted to the fourth post of store assistant in Herb Production and Processing Company Limited by submitting a false-fake certificate of educational qualification, he was promoted to the position of chief store assistant, so he has been imprisoned and fined in accordance with the Prevention of Corruption Act 2059, and a charge sheet has been filed in the special court."
