Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that the tourism year announced by the Koshi state government will provide significant support to Nepal's economy.

Inaugurating the Koshi Tourism Year-2082 at Tinjure Milke in Tehrathum on Wednesday, he mentioned that Koshi Province has done commendable work in the field of prosperity and development through tourism.

Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that there is a lot of potential for tourism in Koshi province, and emphasized that the provincial government should pay special attention to the opportunity to bring in tourists from India. He expressed his belief that the development of the tourism sector can reduce the growing economic laxity in the country and contribute to the overall prosperity of Nepal.

Deputy Prime Minister Singh claimed that the standard of living of common citizens has improved after the country went to federalism and suggested to look at the facts and statistics of the development since 2046. He objected that some individuals and groups are trying to spread negativity by creating commentary that there is no development.

In addition, he emphasized on the need to look at development and its impact based on facts rather than urges and prejudices.
