Leaders of the Madhesh Province Parliamentary Party met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. After the Prime Minister's special address in the Madhesh State Assembly on Tuesday, the MPs met in the meeting room of Speaker Ramchandra Mandal. In the meeting, the leaders of the ruling party and opposition parties drew the attention of the Prime Minister to the issue of Madhesh.

Krishna Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Congress Madhesh Pradesh Parliamentary Party, informed that there was a discussion on the issue of granting the powers of the provinces for the implementation of federalism. According to him, the complexity seen in the implementation of the single authority given to the province was discussed. He said that he was discussing the implementation of the Provincial Police Act and the differences between the Union Provinces and had received assurances from the Prime Minister to resolve those problems.

'We drew the attention of the Prime Minister on various issues,' he said, 'We also discussed the rights given for the implementation of federalism. He has also absorbed those subjects.'

Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal Parliamentary Party leader and former Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav expressed a different opinion. He expressed doubts about the implementation of the assurance given by the Prime Minister. He has already talked about the rights of the province. Even when I was the speaker of the assembly, he said that he would give rights to Madhesh,'' he said.

Democratic Samajwadi Party (LOSP) Nepal MP Jitendra Sonal also said that emphasis should be placed on implementation. He said that it would be better to proceed with political commitment in a systematic manner. Agreed in principle. However, what happens practically is important," he said. "Police adjustment is incomplete. The prime minister should be serious about matters including civil servants and financial distribution.'
