2046 agreement overturned: Rana

RPP's former president and senior leader Pashupatishamsher Rana has said that efforts are being made to control the right to protest in a democracy.

In the vigilance meeting organized by the party in Balkhu on Tuesday, he objected to the arrest of RPP's Rabindra Mishra and Dhaval Shameshar Rana, who were taking their stand in a peaceful protest, and put them in jail for crimes against the state.

He demanded the immediate release of his imprisoned party leaders and workers. He said that he was detained after saying something that the government did not like. Rana says that in a country where 94 percent is Sanatan, it should be a Hindu nation and it has been unfairly declared secular.  He said that the RPP opposed the country's republicanism and secularization contrary to the political agreement of 2046. He alleged that it was an act of reversing the agreement between the king and the political party.

He alleged that the country is suffering from misrule and corruption. He said that the country needs good governance and honesty, and for that the leadership also needs skilled leadership. He reiterated the demand that there should be a fair investigation into the incident that took place in Tinkune on 15 March.
