15 days extension for investigation against Mishra and Rana

20 people, including RPP senior vice-president Ravindra Mishra and General Minister Dhaval Shamsher Rana, who were arrested on charges of involvement in the violent demonstration of Rajawadi on March 15, have been given an additional 15 days.

On Tuesday, the bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Bishnu Prasad Upadhyay gave an additional 15 days to investigate against them. 

District Court Information Officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha informed that the deadline of 15 days has been extended against those who have been prosecuted for crimes against the state. Similarly, the deadline of 20 days has been extended against those who are being investigated for criminal nuisance and organized crime. 

Mishra and Rana, who were arrested on Chait 15, were earlier extended by 6 days on Chait 20. The court allowed them to be detained for 5 days for the first time against those who were arrested from Tinkune. 

Two people were killed and 129 people, including 55 policemen, 22 armed policemen and 52 protesters, were injured when the Rajawadi demonstration turned violent in Tinkune.
