Discussion with Ministers and Secretaries about teachers' demands by the Prime Minister

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli discussed the demands of the protesting teachers with ministers and secretaries. Prime Minister Oli discussed the demands of the protesting teachers with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Education and the secretaries of those ministries.

In the meeting held on Monday at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Singh Darbar, there was a discussion with the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Minister of Education, Science and Technology Vidya Bhattarai, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal and the secretaries of the relevant ministries. 

The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the conclusion of the meeting is that the problem should be solved through negotiations by doing more homework on the teachers' demands.  In the

discussion, on behalf of the Ministry of Education, the demands raised in the ongoing agitation in Kathmandu at the call of the Nepal Teachers' Federation were informed. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that the meeting discussed the current economic situation, the process of making school education laws and the demands that the government can meet immediately and ensuring quality education.
