Vehicular traffic is going to be stopped in the lower part of the Narayangadh-Butwal road section for road expansion. The decision was taken at a meeting of stakeholders from the east and west of Nawalparasi Bardghat Susta on Saturday.
Ghanshyam Giri, chairman of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality, said that it was decided to stop non-essential vehicle operation from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. in Daunne area from 27th of Chait to 31st of Chait from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 1st of Baisakh to 15th of Baisakh.
'It has been decided to stop traffic for a few hours every day in order to carry out the necessary maintenance in the lower section and to carry out the traffic in a smooth manner and to complete the work of cutting towards the wall in that section before the rains,' he said.
Nawalparasi Bardghat East and West district coordination head, chief district officer, head of Bardghat municipality, head of Vinayi Triveni rural municipality, head of planning of both plans, consultant of the plan, construction professionals and heads of security agencies decided to speed up the construction even if the road is closed for a few hours every day.

Information officer of the eastern section, engineer Shiv Khanal, told Among the 114 km Narayangadh-Butwal road from Gaindakot to Daune, 65 km has a service lane in the market area and three lane road expansion is underway in the 14 km section of Daune, which is considered to be an area of increasing risk.
Road construction is being done at a cost of 17 billion. After the work was not completed within the stipulated time, the deadline was extended for the third time till July 2082.
