The counting of votes for the 27th Central Working Committee of Nepal Bar Association will be held from Monday.

The voting for the new working committee of the bar was held on Saturday. According to Chief Electoral Officer Senior Advocate Ramakrishna Nirala, the ballot box will arrive in Kathmandu by today evening and the counting of votes will start from Monday.

80 percent of the votes were cast out of 9,957 voters to elect the new working committee of the bar. There were 57 nominations for the working committee of 25 people. 

Voting was held in a total of 36 polling stations in Kathmandu and outside. Senior advocate Prada Vijay Prasad Mishra from the broad democratic, progressive, professional, nationalist and inclusive legal practitioner group and senior advocate Raman Kumar Shrestham from the professional legal practitioner group are competing for the new leadership of the bar.  

In the group of Senior Advocate Prada Mishra, Senior Advocate Kedar Prasad Koirala is the candidate for Secretary General, while in the group of Senior Advocate Shrestha, Advocate Yagyamani Neupane is the candidate.
