Under the Butwal-Narayangadh road section, road expansion work will be done by stopping the traffic at night. At present, hill cutting, walling and culvert construction are going on in the lower section, due to which vehicles are stuck and passengers have to face hardships.

The administration is going to work by stopping the operation of vehicles. Chief District Officer of East Nawalparasi Bhavishwar Pandey said that due to the risk of damage to vehicles in the dust and pits and during road expansion, the operation of non-essential vehicles will be prohibited from 11:00 am to 3:00 am from Chait 27th to Chait 31st and from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am from 11:00 am to 15:00 am.

West and East Nawalparasi district coordination committee, district administration, security agencies and stakeholders have decided to repair and construct the road by stopping the traffic on Saturday after conducting an on-site inspection of the southern road section. It now takes 5 to 6 hours due to traffic jams to cross 14 km of the lower section.
