After being appointed by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Government of Nepal on July 25, 2078, I had the opportunity to serve the Nepal Electricity Authority, its consumers and the country as a whole as an executive director for the second time. I feel proud that I have been able to devote myself day and night to the service of the country and the people, staying within the limits of Nepal's constitution and existing laws.

On 11th Chait 2081, on the day when preparations were being made for the cabinet meeting to remove me, I was engaged in lighting lamps in the remote area of ​​Makwanpur, in the slums of the marginalized, poor Chepang community. Some individuals, groups or forces may have considered themselves successful in demoralizing and humiliating the working public servants while honestly fulfilling the main objective of providing reliable, quality, sufficient and safe electricity supply to the Nepalese people. 

But I am not excited or discouraged by that. Because as an honest national servant, I have not done anything to regret when reviewing my tenure, I have not wasted a single moment of making good use of opportunities and rights.

The authority is not trying to raise the premium fee for dedicated and trunk lines in Lahad, it has also been approved by the respected court. But they were trying to distract me from my main work by asking me, who was active in tax collection, to ask for details and explanations on meaningless matters and to collect thousands of pages of documents and submit the details. It is known to all that the authorities have tried to collect the arrears by disconnecting the line up to 4 times and by adopting other options.

I had written to the Electricity Regulatory Commission on 11 Chait 2081 for the agreement to disconnect the line and collect the arrears. After that, the decision to dismiss me was made by the Council of Ministers. My efforts to collect dues became the main reason for my resignation. The entire country is witness to the fact that unnecessary and illegal pressure was created on me after the current government and the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation came last June for making the country self-sufficient in energy and expanding electricity trade to neighboring countries India and Bangladesh. Instead of receiving mature advice, guidance and patronage to make the institutional development and advancement of the authority effective from the officials in the leadership positions of the government, they launched a well-planned attack on me to demoralize me. As the executive director of a public body like the authority, I took the path to recover the arrears of public funds. However, my responsibility, integrity and duty could not accept the request, influence and pressure that came to not collect the outstanding amount. My honesty and self-respect did not allow me to attack the organization and the nation. That's why I have been sticking to my role by considering compliance with the law and the interests of the authorities as the most important.

If they are not satisfied with the tariffs, instead of taking advantage of their right to go to the review committee of the authority, the Electricity Regulatory Commission, the people who are running at the power center must have felt warm for some time now. However, I am convinced that no one will be exempted from their responsibility towards the public fund, the powers and groups that protect it will also have to give an account to the nation. As a responsible citizen of the country, I will continue to warn about it. I urge the common Nepali citizens to continue to work hard for this.

In countries rich in water resources, load shedding of 15/16 hours in winter and 9 hours in dry season was common until about eight years ago. Along with the campaign to make ``Bright Nepal'' by stopping load shedding forever, load shedding was stopped not only for homes and offices, but also for industrial customers from Baisakh 2075. In the past, consumers used to run to the authorities demanding electricity services. When loadshedding was removed, not only did the light shine in every house, but the future of about 3 million students was ensured, they could study without interruption. We were able to help save the lives of hundreds of Nepalis when the lights were off in the hospital's maternity ward and operation theater. This is the greatest satisfaction of my life. This gave hope to create new employment opportunities for thousands of Nepalis.

At a time when foreign exchange reserves were under pressure, we managed to reduce petroleum imports through power exports, energy efficiency and increased domestic production, which protected the country's precious currency from foreign exchange and supported the economy.

Under my leadership, the authority set a glorious journey. The institution, which was in constant loss, turned into a historic profit, and managed to earn billions of rupees. The assets of the authority increased by about 3 times and made it financially and technically strong and independent. This profit has been re-invested in the development of public facilities and electricity infrastructure.

The authority is working on electrification with its own resources and means even when the government of Nepal has not given a budget. Bringing electricity to people's homes is the biggest achievement of my tenure. Access to electricity has been expanded by providing free meters to extend access to electricity service to households belonging to underprivileged groups such as Sukumbasi Basti and Chepang, Musahar.

A huge investment has been made from the authority's own resources for electrification. Not only the electrification of the villages, but also in the partnership with the local authorities, a large investment has been made in the expansion of smart street lights to light up the city.
