7 political parties who have been doing politics on the issue of Madhesi, Tharu and tribals have announced the 'Union Democratic Front'. With the Morcha announcement, old leaders of Terai-Madhesh-centric politics from Mahanth Thakur, Upendra Yadav, Rajendra Mahato and Hridayesh Tripathi to CK Raut and Resham Chaudhary have stood together. After a long time, the Madhesh-centric party blocked the front.

Publicizing various 26 objectives and commitments in the front announced on Thursday  Mahanth Thakur-led Democratic Samajwadi Party (LOSP), Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, Rajendra Mahato-led National Mukti Morcha, CK Raut-led Janmat Party, Hridayesh Tripathi-led Janata Pragatisheel Party, Resham Chaudhary-led Civil Liberation Party and Vrishesh Chandra Lal-led Terai Madhesh Democratic Party (Tamlopa) are included. 

The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) led by Ashok Rai, which split from the party led by Upendra Yadav, has not joined the front. When the constitution was being promulgated in 2072, the 'Synukta Democratic Madhesi Morcha' protested with the demands of province demarcation, ensuring proportional and inclusive representation in all parts of the state.

At that time, most of the parties that joined the Front were transformed into one party by merging . But later, the Madhesh-centric party split again and broke up. In the general election of 2079, the Madhesh-centric party has been added after public opinion also came into electoral politics.

The front declared on Thursday has announced various 26 objectives and commitments . Defense and strengthening of the federal democratic republic, demarcation of provinces based on strength and identity, empowered provinces, local level within the jurisdiction of the province, etc., have been raised by the Front.

The Morcha is committed to keep trying to amend the constitution in a timely manner so that all communities can take ownership, to raise the voice of proportionality, inclusion and social justice, and to carry out pressure programs against distortions such as corruption and middlemanship.

The Morcha has said that it will strengthen the political demand for proportional election system and representation based on population in the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. The Morcha demands that political and constitutional appointments should be made on the basis of merit, contribution, experience and proportional inclusion principles, not on the basis of party affiliation. The front has raised the demand that the monolingual policy and behavior should be ended and the multilingual policy should be implemented, the agreements made in the past should be implemented, and the issues raised in the movement should be withdrawn.

After the difference of opinion on who will lead the front this time, the parties have reached an agreement to organize the meeting in turn and the organizing party will preside over that day. The front has made a 15-point code of conduct. It is said that the meeting of the front will be held in the offices of all the constituent parties or in the place where the parliamentary party or parties are convenient. Decisions are made on the basis of consensus and are kept in the code of ethics of not criticizing and harassing each other in public . It is said that the status of the party affiliated to the front will remain the same. At the announcement ceremony of the

front, Jaspa Nepal President Yadav said that since the regressive forces are looking for an opportunity to reverse the achievements of the federal democratic republic, inclusiveness, and fundamental rights, it is necessary to counter it . He said that the achievements achieved due to the Congress and Communists, which are regressive on one side and the status quo power on the other, are in jeopardy. He alleges that the government made up of two big parties has failed in all areas.

'Numbers will only keep getting stronger, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka also had two-thirds governments but they were thrown out because they could not live up to the expectations of the people,' he said, 'A government that cannot solve national problems, and cannot end corruption, commission and middlemanship is not considered strong.' He is displeased that the party in government has opposed federalism. "There is an attempt to take away the acquired rights, even after 9 years, federalism has not been effectively implemented," he said, "Oli, Dahal and Deuba are coming to power in rotation, this is also a dictatorial character."
